Sweet Together – Pink Paislee Hybrid Layout

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share this hybrid layout that I created using Pink Paislee’s She Art Collection, Cottage Farms Collection, Artisan Collection, Heidi Swapp Color Shine mists and the digital Family Matters Element Pack.

I printed out the embellishments from the Family Matters element pack and then cut them out with my Silhouette Cameo. I love doing this when I want something a little different or if I’m low on embellishments.

BeYouTiful Daughter — Elle’s Studio

Hi crafty people! I’m sharing this layout that I created with the Serendipity line at Elle’s Studio. The photo is of my oldest daughter, taken 2 years ago in our backyard. She’s pretty darn cute here, isn’t she? She’s growing up so fast it’s scary! She won’t wear skirts or dresses anymore much to my consternation. And worse still, she won’t let me dress her in cute Gymboree outfits anymore. Sigh. :(

Here’s a close up. I used one of my favourite cutting files from Pink Paislee Digitals for the circle mat background. The pink and teal splatter are Heidi Swapp Color Shine mists, my favourite ever.

Proud of You Card

Hi everyone! I’m proud of you… really I am… so I made you this card with the Serendipity line from Elle’s Studio. I hope you like it. ;)

(Yes, I’m silly. I know.)

Proud of You Card

Here’s a close up of my card. I used twine from The Twinery. I was lucky to find entire spools of twine on sale for $5 each at Scrapfest. So I bought 3 rolls and a friend of mine bought 3 as well and we shared. It was a pain splitting up the rolls, but worth it in the end to have 6 colours each.

The cute epoxy heart was created with the Heart 20 Tool from Epiphany Crafts and the coordinating Heart 20 Bubble Caps.  I added a rhinestone on top for a little extra emphasis on the heart.

Sand and Sun

Hi everyone! I finally scrapped for MYSELF. Yes, it’s true. This layout is for nobody but me and I did it for FUN! Imagine that! ;) I created this layout at a crop for Relay for Life. I got to meet some of my online scrappy friends in person for the first time! I met Audrey Yeager, Diana Fisher and Lisa Swift. It was a fun time!

All of the products are from Paper Issues and if you happen  to be shopping there you can get 20% off of your order using my discount code SCRAPSATION.

Sand and Sun

Isn’t this whale the cutest? That’s what attracted me to this line from Glitz Designs the most.

Here’s a close up of the details. The ribbon is from this crazy expensive ribbon store on Queens Street in Toronto called Mokuba. I only buy stuff there when it’s on clearance! :) They have some of the most beautiful ribbon I have ever seen though.

I used Thickers from Amy Tangerine’s first collection for the title. I love these Thickers, but haven’t had much of an opportunity to use them until now.

Mother’s Day Cards for Epiphany Crafts (and Mom, of course!)

Hi everyone! I just want to share these cards that I made for Mother’s Day for my Mom and Mother-In-Law.

Love You Mom

Here’s a close up of the first one. I created the flower with some tissue paper and the Flower 25 tool and Bubble Caps from Epiphany Crafts.

I mangled altered some flowers from Prima and Recollections by removing the original centres and adding the Heart 25 and Scalloped Circle 20 Bubble Caps. I think that they look a lot nicer now! :)

Mother Love You Always

Here’s a close up of that one.

Thanks for looking! Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there!

Best Day Ever — Elle’s Studio

Hi crafty people! Today I’m sharing this layout that I did of my son for Elle’s Studio. There’s a train in the background, his favourite thing in the world. He eats, sleeps, dreams and talks about trains all day long. I love it when I can capture that in a layout and on camera.

I used the Day to Day Collection. The alphabet stickers are from Lily Bee and I also used lots of enamel dots from My Mind’s Eye.

Best Day Ever

Here’s a close up of some of the journalling.

Best Day Ever 3

I swore that I would never do a pie chart design because it seems like it’s the ‘trademark’ of a designer friend of mine and I didn’t want to feel like I was copying her. BUT, I think that these papers really needed me to make a pie chart, especially with that pie chart tidbit as an embellishment. I had a lot of fun making this. It’s pretty easy to do with a punch, some patience and a sewing machine!
